Many churches today are often restricted by available finance in the purchase of a new church organ and often go down alternative routes. In fact, it is possible if you search hard enough to find a redundant pipe organ, and in many cases for next to nothing in cost terms. Some instruments require restoration, others many not and simply need to be relocated. I have been involved in a number of relocations of instruments which would have otherwise been thrown on the scrap-heap. If you are considering replacing your current instrument it is advisable to check this route. I am aware of a number of instruments which require new homes and would be happy to liaise and to make further enquiries.
If you have an instrument which you are considering throwing in a skip, or simply just need to get rid of it, please consult your diocesan organs advisor. If you are not within the Anglican Church and require assistance in re-homing an organ (either pipe or electronic) please do not hesitate to contact me and I will try and help.
